1972 - 1973 - 1974

I used to listen to San Francisco FM stations around April-May 1972 and I thought that 'I saw the light' was sung by a girl until an Irish-American friend of mine told me it was a boy: Todd Rundgren. Gallery's 'Nice to be with you' used to play on the radio around the same time. I remember crossing the U.S.A. from San Francisco to New York on a VW driven by 2 Americans... and 'Nice to be with you' played it all along our crossing.   

Chuck Berry's 'My ding-a-ling' was #1 in the U.S.A. but I doubt it played it in Brazil. Nobody would know that 'ding-a-ling' is an euphemism for genitalia.
